Dovzhenko films the sky, films the faces of people, film from the bottom even making cows look epic, moves the camera the over the dancing wheat making it look like a roaring crowd, frames a sunflower and makes it weep. This beautiful film explodes all the versatility of cinema to bring a political message. In this movie the sharp angles and the creative framing speaks as much as the brilliant music.
